Its pretty great, I wont lie. They even have a 80k example of my truck in there.
I’ve already seen their military version, but they just got a Civilian version

I’ve never seen a civilian one. Im hoping to collect much footage of this as there is hilariously little on them.

I really need to go visit the Cruiser Museum.

Right now its only open if you contact them directly (they aren’t just open to the public) but I understand its not that hard to get in. They have a full time curator but they don’t have the means to just leave it open full time.

Part of me wonders how poorly that’d do in a roll-over.

Then you remember if it rolls over its because the earth shifted and we are all dead.

4-wheel steering? Never heard of a MEGA CRUISER.

They aren’t well known. But very cool.

I actually drove a civilian version in about 2006 at a place called “ Sanage Adventure Field ” which is near the old Araco plant. It was an adventure and I don’t remember much of the details except that rear-wheel-steer was super impressive on tight trails.
The powertrain was less impressive, but in that scenario, slow speed, crawl, uphill, 4-Lo, it was certainly enough. I remember it was a rather small displacement diesel, probably 4 cylinder. All-wheel independent suspension if I remember right.
One of my fondest memories from the extra-curricular activities while on business trips to Japan, which were normally very stressful.
By the way, I now know how to make links and post pics. learning curve progress!

Of course you have! Lucky sod. Man they beat that one up pretty good didn’t that. Hey, at least they put it to good use. Yeah it was a 4.1l i4 155 HP 282 lbsft. Slow but strong enough. Hoping they let me get all through this one on video. I talked to the curator (Dan) he’s going to get back to me tomorrow
